[Hungary knows what it's like to be left behind. That's what happens when you're a country and everyone else around you is mostly human. Their lives aren't as long as hers and as a result, she's seen so many loved ones die and leave her. Still, it's nothing compared to what a child must feel when their mother leaves them.

She's about to comment when she notices that Dastan looks a bit...small.]

...Dastan?

[Oh dear god, he's gone and picked up a card. Hungary's trying not to panic but she smiles nonetheless.]

Are you lost?

[ Hi, this entire dream just broke Ezio's heart and then some. He's still just lazily watching the screen even after the dream ends, but the sob snaps the assassin back to attention. There was no mistaking the name the woman in the dream spoke. The boy was Dastan, the boy in his brother's bed was still...his brother. Only much younger.

He hated this place so much.

Instead of responding via dreamberry, Ezio shuts the thing off and quickly hurries over to the cottage next door, coming in slowly as not to scare the boy more than he surely already is. In the doorway to the bedroom he says; ]

Dastan...?

[ The feeling in the pit of his stomach seems to grow as he stares at the young boy. No, that dream was nothing he would ever want to see. The death of a loved one was terrible for Ezio to witness. ]

No. [ he answers quickly, but he smiles as he steps closer, carefully so the other doesn't go bolting from the room. ]

I'm your...brother, Dastan. You don't remember me though, do you?

[The dream, as sad as it is, disappears from the woman's mind the moment the child's face comes into view. She knows exactly what happened.]

Oh...Dastan... You don't remember me, do you?

I'm afraid I haven't heard from her. Is someone there to take care of you while she's gone?

[Steve has no idea what's going on but he gets the gist of what's happening. At least until he notices that whoever is one the other end of the line isn't exactly Dastan.]

...Dastaaaaan?

[ Locke somewhat vaguely seems to recall a Dastan when he first entered Somarium- but he certainly wasn't as pint-sized as this. He watches the dream, frowning, remembering Jean, how much his friend had suffered, and hurt over the loss of his own parents. Locke has trouble relating beyond this; he hardly even remembered his own mother any more, and he had never known his father. ]

I don't think your mother's here.

[ His voice is soft, and Locke begins to remember Bug. A lump rises up in his throat, but he forces himself to ignore it, shaking his head gently. This is how the world is, though. All of the Gentleman Bastards had been orphans, not brothers by blood, but brothers all the same. ]

...I'm sorry.

[ He murmurs something beneath his breath that Dastan can not hear from his end of the Dreamberry. It may, or may not have been a prayer. ]
