I'm not much of a tea person. I wasn't raised on tea, so for me, it's something to drink when I am cold/sick. The fact that I'm downing it like water amazes me.
Strange, you're not the first one who's told me that about drinking tea, so I get it now. It's just that I'm sort of addicted to it. Maybe it's partly placebo effect, but when I feel sick, tea usually does help.
Aw. That sounds really miserable. I know the feeling very well. -__-;;
Get lots of sleep if you can - and perhaps cut down on tea? What tea are you drinking? See, I think that black or green tea is not exactly the best thing now, I recommend going for a false tea (herbal tea or fruit tea) with lots of lemon and honey. Honey works as a natural antibiotic, so it should help!
Well the current pot is an herbal raspberry tea. I do have a lot of black teas and green teas but it's more or less the warmth that I'm looking for when I drink the tea. I also have orange juice and vitamin c lemon water so it's not like I ain't boosting the vitamins. And I put honey in every now and then - I get sick of the sweetness after a bit.
Yeah, well... I'm not too fond of honey myself. XD
Funny, I always get much better in Japan. I have developed an asthma some 6 years ago and since that time I've been having troubles here at home, but never in Japan. Japanese air seems to be doing wonders for me. :D
I like well enough but my teeth are super sensitive at the moment.
Are you in Japan now? I'm never quite sure where you are since your writing style doesn't quite reveal where you are presently located - at least not to my sensibilities.
When I studied abroad at Keio, I think I got two or three colds in the course of 11 months?
And I've only been here not even two months and I'm on my third illness, the second one being mild, the first one being horrible, and this one also being a monster.
I don't think I got this sick this often back in the US, but I could be wrong.
That sounds exactly like what I had, down to the teeth. Hopefully if you do get a fever you'll get over it quick today... *hugs* It's awesome that we both got really sick on three-day weekends, though. >.> Time to recover somewhat. :F
Did you have yellow mucus? I have yellow mucus. (YES TMI BUT WHO CARES.) If I had one, I think it broke last night, as I felt rather sweaty after a steam bath and it turned out my whole apartment was a sweltering 28 degrees celcius. The inside of my front door had CONDENSATION on it when I woke up today. *hugs back* Yeah, I mean I feel better today but I still have it. I can feel it. It's just not as bad because all the liquids and the medicine have really helped to flush it out of me.
Well I don't think I've done that much nose blowing but I am on my second little pack of tissues. XD; Indeed slow and torturous. I'm unpacking the boxes my mom sent me and just putting away some things has tired me out. However, I am now set for winter, and have a lot of pads and tampons. XD;
