Never will I rebuke myself for sleeping in again. Otherwise I could potentially have been at either Kings Cross or Russell Square around 9ish this morning.

Seriously, that bus? Where I walk when going from SOAS to British Library, and vice versa. Scary shit.

Well the timing - Olympics, G8, all the blasts. I think 'power surges' is looking very unlikely.

If I had actually made it to school I would not be so blase. I would be nervous as hell. I am still am a bit, as text messages fly hither thither!

Oh you are Ok, good. I logged on to see cos just got the news. Hadn't even thought of the Olympics what with all the mega-G8 hoopla. Either way, am sad that they got civilians rather than going to Scotland to get Tony Blair, but glad you slept in!!

Thanks. It's interesting to see how this develops - of course now Al Qaeda is being mentioned and it's really the fact of not knowing exactly what happened that makes it so strange.

It's a relief that it seems to have caused more panic than anything else. And Blair and Ken Livingstone aren't even in London right now (covering both G8 and Olympics bases)!

Yeah, of course, I'm good. And there's not much I could do anyway, with transport shut down. It's surreal. I feel involved but not involved - but strangely attached to the city.
