Video: 002

[The video is turned on to reveal Matthew sitting on top of a tall concrete wall. It'd clearly taken him awhile to climb up there, but boredom and a lack of fear of death does that to people. Even though he is now looking at the PDA, he carries a day dreamy expression on his face ( Read more... )

Oh, your from Japan...er Nihon right? S-Sorry, you'd probably not have heard of it then. [Matthew had assumed that Sasuke came from Feudal Japan.]

The country I come from is called Canada, and today is the anniversary of the day we were able to become our own country. We...tend to have big, really fun celebrations on that day.

I'm from Fire Country. Don't go making unnecessary assumptions.

Good for you.

Fire Country? So...your from a completely different world? It's not apart of the world we are now in, right?

I'm guessing...your from another world too, right? What's your country called?

Canada Day is a really big holiday in my country. I'm sorta involved in politics...and I-I really like this countries history, so it's important to me. [Yeah, that was a good way to explain the fact that he grew up with this nation.]

[Yes! Finally somebody who knew what Canada Day was!]

Yep! It's July 1st! I've been counting the days...and well watching the calender on the PDA too, but I still would have figured it out without it.

Are you from Canada too? Or are you American?

I haven't been, ah, watching the dates.

I, myself, am from America but hold no affiliation to the country. The boys have their own 'country' that I run for them.

Eh? Boys? T-Their own country?

Wait...are you a President, or Prime Minister?

[Oh how confused Matthew was.]

Happy Canada Day/Brithday. I'd guess fireworks and drinking if it's anything like the Fourth of July.

Yep! We have lots of fireworks, and drinking is...ahaha very popular as well. [Matthew could still remember the fireworks from the July 1st of 1867. In one way, things hadn't really changed much.] In a way, it's good that it's in July; I'd be worried about the amount of accidents if it was in winter. Especially if some people decided to participate in drunken ice hockey!

[The one time him, Russia, Sweden, Finland and Denmark had tried that...things did not end up too well. Apparently Russia's temper got worse when he was drinking, and him + hockey stick was never a good idea.]
