well true.. however the team also gains participation points if someone steps in that wasn't already signed up for the match. sooo there's always that. :P
and as far as docking the player.. I'm hoping the threat of being off the team is enough ;) lol
That is true.. I reeeally hope people heed these warnings, I always feel horrible when people don't show. :( IT'S NOT HARD TO GIVE NOTICE, GUYS. Plz be kind to your quidditch mod and teammates! D:

Hi! Recently sorted Gryff here with some ?'s:
1. Games are played between only two teams at a time, correct? Raven/Gryff or Huff/Slyth etc? Or is it all four teams at once? 2. Where will the schedule/games be posted and when are they usually held? I'm assuming the'd be weekends, but just wanted to make sure. 3. Where exactly does the seeker post his/her answers to scavenger hunt questions? Is it a private message to the coach or just a post in the middle of the game thread? 4. How is the timing coordinated? I'm only asking because I can't seem to get my head around how the 'match' is played if many of us are in diff. time zones. Or can only people in the same time zones be on a team?
I'm pretty sure I understand rules of gameplay, sorry for the super-n00b questions *headdesk*. I'd like to apply for Gryff Seeker but wanted to get all this straight in my mind first. :)
you can apply without being a member of hh_quidditch only team members are members of the community.. so I'll need you to apply before I can approve your request to join. Sorry..... XD
Understood the rules lol. I read the rules every term when you put a call for players up in the main community, but I think I've finally got the hang of the game after seeing one played somewhere in the community last term. :D *Flails* But one more thing. The Beaters and Keepers essentially keep alternating posting questions to the Chasers to be responded to, amirite? (:
A beater asks a question, which is answered by a chaser from the opposing team.... then when the beater says if that answer is correct, he asks another question, which a chaser answers, THEN a keeper asks a question (assuming the answer given to the 2nd question was correct) then after the chasers answer that question correct, the team that was answering the questions scores and play moves to the other team (basically the reverse of this team wise)
There is a good little image at the end of the rules that helps explain this part, click it to get a bigger image. Basically it's 2 beater quesions, 1 keeper question per round then the other team gets a chance to score. :)
Ohh okay I got that part, I just needed to be sure whether there were other roles that I'd missed out on or anything like that so yay I haven't. (: Thanks dear!
