Draco threw another letter down on the counter. He reached over and stroked the barn owl. "Poor Lucy, one day your master will learn."

Draco sighed and looked around his little office, if you could call it that. It was just a four by four cubicle that seemed to get smaller each day. He had one little rickety table and a perch for the owls that flew in.

He unrolled the parchment and looked over the letter. He smirked at the contents before writing a short response on the bottom of the parchment.

Mr. Thomas, please take note of your recipient's address. Once again, you have the wrong address. I would suggest that the next time you go to a club, you get the proper address. Kindly readdress your mail and hope that your recipient did not give you false information.

Attaching the parchment back to the owl's leg, he returned the owl to his owner. "Well, that is two letters down for the day. It's been a really busy day. I think I deserve a break!"

Draco stood up and stretched. To say his job was fulfilling would be a laugh. Who would have ever imagined that wizards actually worked at the owl post behind the scenes. He spent his days waiting for misaddressed mail so he could scathingly reply to each sender, not that he would push it and be written up.

Hearing a knock at his door, he turned to find Pansy smirking at him. "You know, if I did not know any better, I would say that you actually enjoy this job."

"Oh darling, Pansy, you know me so well." Draco chuckled as he moved to walk out of the office. He stopped as he heard an owl land behind him. Turning he was faced with a sleek black raven. "Oh my, it is a busy day. I need to respond to this owl quick, Pans. "

"It figures, the day that I come for lunch you get extra mail!" Pansy came in and leaned on his desk. "Come on, let's hurry up."

He nodded as he took the letter off of the bird's leg. "You know, it isn't like I could complain. I sit around for eight hours a day waiting for a stray letter to come in. The pay is fabulous for me to sit and look gorgeous."

"It is fabulous. I know others would love to have your job. I do not even think they discuss working for the postal system in your career interviews at Hogwarts." Pansy looked at her perfect manicured fingernails as he unrolled the scroll.

"Well, what do we have here? Perfect Potter has written a letter," Draco drawled with pleasure. "It is definitely a shame that I cannot share this with you. I do need to respond to him quickly."

He picked up his quill and chuckled. "Oh this is going to be fabulous!"

Dear Mr. Potter, it appears that you do not have all of the adoring fans that you once thought you did. Apparently not everyone wants you to know their true address. Please kindly send your bird onto the proper address or just admit that you only have a few groupies hanging on now.

Draco chewed on his tip of his quill. "I'm not sure that this is quite right, what do you think?"

Pansy read over his shoulder. "Hmm, not quite up to your standard darling. Here start again." She grabbed another piece of parchment to write the response on.

Dear Mr. Man-Who-Would-Not-Die, Please take the time to ascertain that the recipient of your rather boring blathering is truly in dire need of hearing from you. Apparently you have either written the address wrong, or you have one fewer worshippers than you thought. Sincerely, your post master.

Draco sat back and smiled at it. "You were right, darling. I need to stop and think before I write." He stood up to grab the wax he used to seal special letters. "Salazar, I need some wax. I'll be right back and then we can go to lunch."

Pansy watched Draco walk out of the office before writing her own message at the bottom of the parchment. She smiled and said nothing when he returned and sent the letter back to Potter. "So, how does the Leaky Cauldron sound for lunch?"
