Look at you! First an R rated story and now angst - you are full of surprises.

This is very lovely - I think the transitions between past and "present" are particularly well done, and I like how Harry's memories sort of pick up where Ginny's left off. You did a nice job of not overly romanticizing their deaths (although I did wonder why their children were not at the hospital.)

I particularly loved the scene where Harry first says "I love you" and this bit:

Her heart was wrung dry, which was just as well. She didn't like crying girls.

...that's just beautiful.

Thanks for sharing.

P.S. I'm behind in commenting on some of your other stories, but I am enjoying them!

LOL - like I told I friend, I just wrote a story I wouldn't read. :) But this is where the prompts sent me.

I tried to have the kids in background, but they were too distracting. But you're right. They are there - it's just that H/G aren't noticing them, they're so focused on each other. Hmmm. I could try to mention them earlier in the story when Ginny is more lucid. I'll see what I can do. That edit button is my friend. :) Thanks for reading!

Amazing. I love the transition from Harry watching the Hogwart's Express leaving to his sudden death on the platform. I liked it that you centered mainly around Harry and Ginny. As a reader, I can imagine the feelings of the children, and don't necessarily need actual words or details to get the big picture. Once again, amazing!

Oh, thank you for reading. I added in a few lines after irislock mentioned it and before you read it, so hopefully it's just enough. I really did want to keep the focus on H/G.

This was extremely poignant and well-written. I love the ending, and I love the little threads you used to tie together the various memories and the present.

I also love the ending. It's very bittersweet, but beautiful!

The ending gave me all kinds of problems, so thanks for the reassurance (and for reading!).

I can understand that, since it was a change of pov at the end, but you pulled it off beautifully. I really like the idea of people being surprised at there being more to Harry Potter than is in the history books. Simply beautiful!

Yes, that was the concern. I hoped the wireless announcement would make enough of a transition so it wouldn't seem so jarring.

Yes, to me, H/G is all about the next hundred years of his life. :)
