Summary: When Dark Wizards rise again, wreaking havoc across the world, the BAU is called in to find out what exactly, is going on. Old members of Dumbledore’s Army are forced to join with the group

I have to tell you, I saw the pairing at the BAU inbox and my jaw hit the floor. It seemed like the unlikeliest crossover EVER. It's been my experience as a reader that cross-genre stories don't typically work well-- think "CSI" crossed with "Lord of the Rings," if you want one of the more hideous examples. But I am pleasantly surprised to see that this seems to work.

You have a good grasp on the characters from both series and you definitely know where you're going with your narrative which is REALLY refreshing-- a lot of cross-genre stories flounder in the plotline area, at least in my experience. It's apparent you put a lot of thought into trying to make this work and that's really admirable to me.

Inasmuch as they probably will not become my OTP in terms of crossovers, I'll stick with this story as long as you're willing to post it, because I'd like to see how it goes. A great first CM effort.

I agree with you, that they generally don't work. I was incredibly hesitant over beginning to write this - even just for myself - until I sat down and thought it over. It took me a few days, and a lot of pushing from my friend, for me to even begin the actual prologue.

It really means a lot to me, that the way I have the characters and such is well written, and in character. I was really worried about it XD

Haha, actually, you just gave me the push I needed to start working on the first chapter :p Like I said, I was hesitant to begin with, and the lack of response - while understandable - was a little bit disapointing. So yes! Thank you once more!

I found the first chapter listed at the bau_fic community, and had to go read it. Then I decided to go look for more.

For late comers, and there will be those who don't find the story until you are several chapters in or those who decide to wait and see because they aren't familiar with you as a writer or comfortable with this crossover... links to previous chapters or a least a mention will be a big help in getting them to the right place.

I read both HP and CM fic, and I like what you are doing with them. It can sound a bit egotistical for Hotch to think of them as the world's best, but that's what they are and who really spends to much time being modest in the assumed privacy of their own mind?

If you get a minute you might want to do a little more research into the British legal system, since at least part of this fic will be set there. They do things kinda differently.

Yes, true about the British legal system. I never thought about it, because it's not really a 'major' part of the fic, but it is a good idea! Thank you.
