One thing (amongst many) that  has always bothered me about my husband, is the fact that he thinks men are far more superior than women. I have always considered men and women equal.
So it really gets my blood boiling when he comes out with things like "I make the final decisions because I am the man" .....why?......  I have always scoffed at this ( Read more... )

Jeez, men like that really bug me, and it's so not how things work in my house. My mom doesn't take any of my dad's shit and he can argue like the best of them, but in the end, he always does what she says;)

I was brought up to believe men and women are equal. My father was respected and very much loved, but I never thought his opinion over ruled my mothers, and my mother's didn't over rule his. And they were both in their 40's when I was born.

No I don't think a set of testicles makes someone superior. We are equal!! But perhaps a man can have a bit more insight in why a boy does something like that and even that depends on the boy and man in question. I would let the parents handle the son in the way they want to. You told them and now it's up to them to deal with it.

My husband doesn't even know the father of this boy - he's just assuming the boy will listen to his father because he's a "man". My husband is a very sexist Italian man
