Oh my goodness, poor Harry and his spider. This is so sad. :/

Really not his worst memory, but haha as so many of his are already written and I didn't want to jump ahead too much just yet, I thought this might be fun...ish :)

Oh, poor, poor Harry. All of the baby spiders missing their papas was the line that made me wibble all over.

*with a mixture of sadness, strong dislike for the Dursleys and a touch of disbelief*
It really was a cupboard, wasn't it?

*laughs a little uneasily*
Yeah. Probably roomier than some cupboards, but... yeah. Maybe that's why I did so well with a broom from the start? *smiles wanly* We had a lot in common.

*shakes her head, grimacing*
It was still entirely unecessary to throw you in there. *sighs* But then again, they are awful Muggles to begin with.

*raises her brows at his words, tipping her head slightly*
We? *tries for gentle teasing* I don't think I was ever put into a cupboard to improve my flying.

*nods*
Awful people. It's hard to believe they were related to my mum.
I bet you have a lot of happy memories though, right?

*laughs*
I meant me and the brooms *grins* Brooms and I grew up in the same place.

You weren't meant to be sent to them. I'm sure I was fairly clear in what was meant to happen to you. I didn't mean for you to be sent to them.

*nods and steals another opportunity for a hug*

I know, I know. It's not your fault. And really, I got on all right. I turned out okay. I had good genes to start with.

*hugs him easily, clapping him loudly on the back*
You were living in a cupboard, Harry. That's one of the first things you learn about raising children: don't stick 'em in bloody cupboards.

*wryly*
Perhaps someone should've slipped them a manual of some sort.

Anyway, it could've been worse, I could've been stuck sleeping in a room with Dudley, forced to endure his snoring and God knows what else might go on while he's sleeping.

*frowns, rather appauled at his treatment even from that small glimpse*
They put you in the under-the-stair cupboard? Why didn't you tell anyone at school? I'm sure Social Services could have done something.

When I came back from school I had better accommodations. Besides, where would they have put me if I did complain?

I meant before Hogwarts. Did you go to primary school? I can't remember if you ever said or not.

Well, I'm sure there'd have been plenty of other people willing to look after you. You are the Boy-Who-Lived after all. Or, you know, they'd have talked to your family and made them change the situation, kept an eye on you and stuff.

I'm pretty sure the official consensus was that I was a 'strange child' and that the Dursleys were doing the best that they could.

Privet Drive is not the most caring of streets.

*sighs* Well, that would've taken knowing that I was the Boy-Who-Lived, which I didn't. And after I did, I didn't want to put any of my new friends and their families out.

It was okay, really. They were a bit unfeeling, but people have survived much worse.

*pets Harry* That's horrible. Lovely work!

*frowns, hands curling at his sides*
Shall I go have a little talk with her? I know a few grand spells for throwing my voice. SHe could be revisited by that spider.

Thanks :)The real horrors in his life didn't show up until later :( Such a crappy hand he was dealt.

*laughs*
I should've sent Aragog to have a word with her before he died.

*smiles*

Thanks.
