Name: Andromeda Tonks
Format: Diary entry
Date: August 5, 1980
Relevance: Concerns Andromeda's feelings about the death of her cousin Regulus, and hints at her motivations for joining the Order.
Would Andi like to write to Gideon? He's been an Order member for nearly five years by then, and while that isn't public knowledge obviously, his opposition to what's going on is, and them being friends (?), Andi would know about it. If you'd like, we could build a thread out of it. :)
That would rock a LOT. I was wondering whom she should write to, since she won't want to bug Sirius under the circumstances beyond sending him a note of condolence; she can guess he'll be even more distraught than she is.
I'll start a thread later today--must get ready for work--where she writes a letter to him and will point you to it.
Yay! Will start it now. (I snuck onto the intarwebs this morning when I was supposed to be getting ready for work, to call dibs on the reversathon requests I wanted.
James. So good to see you. And please, do call me Andromeda. You say Mrs. Tonks and I look over my shoulder for my mother-in-law.
*makes a weak attempt to smile*
*stops trying*
I...I'll be all right. I just can't stand this anymore. And Sirius. Oh my God, I can't even imagine what this must be doing to him. They grew up together, more than Regulus and I did.
How's he holding up?
I wonder if Andi would know, through Sirius, that the two of them are involved in fighting Voldemort.
*mirrors her smile* He's... well, there's no body count yet.
*wets his lips* You know they left R- the body for him to find?
I would imagine she'd know. James, for sure, has been very open in opposing Voldemort and where James is, it's generally a good bet that Sirius is there too, and vice versa. :)
*clenches and unclenches fists, nails pressing painfully into palms*
*shaking, strangled voice*
When you see him, tell him that if he needs anything, anything, he can Floo me anytime. And tell him--tell him I'll be helping you lot from now on. Any way I can.
Maybe you should have run away yourself, Cissa. Half the family's mad and they're all selling their souls to this Dark Lord, who of course is even madder than they are. And he doesn't seem to take very good care of the souls in his keeping, does he?

It's going to get worse before it gets better, I can feel it. If it ever does get better.

Somethings never change. All you know is how to run away. You don't deserve to be there.

So much love.

Thank you, Emmeline. He could have done great things, I'm sure, if he'd had the chance to outgrow some of his illusions.
