Okay, I've gone through my pitifully short list of Hetalia fics on del.icio.us (I haven't been active in the fandom that long...) and found ten good not-crack fics that I'll recomend up in here! Here are a few~

WW2 fics by moredamnlies part 1 and part 2. They're PG-13ish for war themes.

Cruel Necessity (Oliver Cromwell and England) by mithrigil. Mature and lots of kink.

Country of Traitors (American Civil War) by aphonetic. Nothing really to warn about. Angst, maybe.

Over the Years by nkiseki. PG. America loves his presidents.

In God's Name by singing_monk. PGish. Joan of Arc is burned at the stake.
