He's someone who knows what he's doing, and I'm pretty sure he's one of those people that are slightly smug...on the inside.
Being the perfectionist he is he would SURELY be depressed if he lost ( which would more likely happen, because he underestimated his rival).
But I'm sure he can life with it, as long as it was a fair match and his rival stayed polite?
I don't think he holds horrible grudges, so at the end of the day, you might even become friends. Not besties, but...I think you get what I mean :3~

Japan. He's smugness will most likely not be too in-your-face, and being the polite nation-tan he is, he probably will congratulate you even if he lost.

Using the almighty self-stamping technique which our benevolent mods have given us, I shall henceforth stamp myself as Germany's rival!/goes off to re-code blog stamps

This is not just done because I don't want France to catch up and be stamped as my rival... Yeah, definitely not.
