His people are dying and, despite what he tells everyone,he's really not as strong as he seems. The main reason he's so strong is the Russian front, where people could die not only from fighting, but from the land. About 26.6 million Russian soldiers died in the second world war D:
America feels the need to comfort him, even though he's an enemy.
Lots of angst, please! And if you can fit some romance in there, too... ;D
