(Reader's Digest history: Eddie was ruler of England from the later 1200s to the early 1300s, during which period he alienated all his supporters (everyone, really), got his ass handed to him by Scotland, lavished gifts and lands and money on his (male) favorites, and neglected his poor wife so much that she left the country, got herself her own Frenchman-lover, and proceeded to invade his country. Please do note: in my headcanon, England would have appeared about 12-13 (in human terms) during this period. So, uh, no sexytiems plz.
Summary: Scotland's picking on England again. Edward, England's monarch, isn't very attentive.
