“I’m glad you like it,” he said shyly as he stood a little bit away from the Russian. He sank a bit when he realized he didn’t know what to do next… He didn’t have anything for them to do now that they were here. His mind rushed to find some option, but there just wasn’t much to work with. He decided that maybe a little more small talk might keep Ivan from getting bored, which would just lead to him becoming… creative. “S-so… I never asked what your major was…” he attempted.

"So have you met your roommate yet? I have not. I hope whom ever get is fun." With the two of them alone in the room, his mind could easily start to form some ideas. But for now, he was content with simply talking. "Nuclear physics," he answered, "I'm surprised I was able to get into the class, but I like it."

“Uh, not really, they seem to be out a lot,” he commented, noting their stuff. He wondered what kind of person they were. Clearly they kept to themselves or… at least had decided to be outgoing elsewhere. “I wonder how long we can go without seeing each other…” he thought out loud.
“Wow, Ivan, that sounds really amazing. I don’t think I could keep up in a major like that, I’d be too afraid of getting bogged down in all the math,” he said with a smile.

He blushed a bit from the comment. "It is. I really like it though, so that helps encourage me to keep going with it. You are right though, you would be too scared to do it."

Raivis didn’t mind Ivan not protesting his claim of being too afraid to do it. He really would be, it was the truth. “Well that’s good. It’s important to chase after your dreams,” he nodded lightly, not sure what else to say about it.

Ivan wasn't surprised to hear Raivis say he was afraid to do it, which was why he didn't object. He giggled and sat up on the bed. "This is why I like you so much. You are so... supportive."

“Am I?” he half asked. He was really just more mulling it over. “I-I try my best to be nice… j-just makes everyone’s life easier… you know?” he questioned. He wasn’t sure if he had ever had such a long talk with Ivan before. He was glad that things had stayed so laid back, but he still shook a little, too afraid to really believe it would stay that way.

He nodded. "Of course. You are afraid of what will happen if you make people mad, yes? You were always like that." He stood up from the bed and approached the boy, leaning in so their faces were only a few inches apart. "I guess no one can change completely."

Raivis wanted to lower his head when Ivan continued to speak the truth. He was afraid of making people mad. He didn’t want to be hurt and there were a lot of ways another person could hurt him if they wanted to. It was just easier doing his best to make them not want to try. His eyes widened as Ivan got closer to him, shivering as their faces became close. He pressed back into the chair, but he was already as far as he could go. “I-I d-dunno… m-maybe…” he trailed off as he began to lose his train of thought.
