You can't rape the willing anonymous April 27 2009, 17:51:05 UTC
Anon is in a rather foul mood, so, I'd like to see France getting brutally raped. And the other countries make light of this, because 'c'mon, it's France', 'he's always asking for it anyway', 'you can't rape the willing', 'oh, he was a slut anyway', 'it was only a matter of time', 'I bet he enjoyed it' etc.

And then I want to see him break down with at least one other country as witness. How it all ends is up to anon to decide; just make me cry, either from angst or from sheer heartwarming or, if you can somehow manage it, from laughing too hard. Anything.

Ow. And what just takes it to that extra level of awful is Germany's reaction to the turn of the debate. Way to be digging open old scars there, Nations :/

“That’s wrong!” Feliciano stands, glaring down at Ivan. “No means no! ‘Mixed signals’ aren’t an excuse!”

“Feliciano!” Lovino tugs at his brother’s sleeve. “Sit the fuck down, we do not want an issue with Rus -” Feliciano shuts his brother up with a flat palm against the back of his head.

The room starts devolving into chaos, voices growing louder with each moment.

Francis looks around the room, feeling vacant and empty. By accident, his eyes lock with Ludwig’s for a moment.

Ludwig squeezes his eyes shut and looks away.

Something hard and hot presses against and through Francis’ lips ( ... )

Feliciano being the one standing up, Ludwig getting caught up in it, Alfred and his four-lettered ranting and Canada launching himself at Ivan sdlajls;jdlsj;akj;sj

Fucking pitch-perfect, anon. This hurts so good, and the ending to this part practically had me bawling. Fuck, why am I such a loser for these two. *sits down and breathes*

I...God, commentornon.

I'm so, so sorry for what you went through. I myself know people who have been assaulted - not in real life, but through other places - and...it's not a good or sexy thing. It's not. "Mixed signals" aren't an excuse, either, because you should never have to second-guess your own actions.

You are a survivor. I salute you. I'm sorry that my writing triggered you, and when I out myself, I will ensure that this is clearly labeled so that no one has to suffer from memories like those. I just...I wrote this for the people who stay silent because of really fucking stupid reasoning like that. Because it's never an excuse for the suffering that person goes through.

You are in my thoughts, and I hope that you find peace and happiness, if you haven't found it yet.

Thank you, writernon. I just want to say again that I love both the fact that you wrote this and how you did it. I got so sidetracked by my personal response last night that I neglected to express my admiration for how you're showing the delicacy of the situation in the way others are reacting, most especially Ludwig. As wrapped up as I was with Francis, the quiet, restrained desperation of Ludwig's plea not to delve into the past took my break away a little. I know I said last night that I didn't know if I could finish reading, but I want to--and I will--because I need to see how this turns out.

Really wonderful, writernon. I look forward to finding out who you are so I can look for more of your fic.

I'll admit that I had trouble deciding what Ludwig's role would be in this. I know that in the canon timeline, he has trouble with his own country's government - to the point where he wishes for a new one - but that still doesn't change the fact that he was part of the Nazi Party, and that he was a part of the organization that attacked and invaded France ( ... )

I actually based Ludwig's role off the Philip Zimbardo Stanford Prison Experiment and Stanley Milgram's obedience experiments.

I love that approach. It works really well for this. I don't believe I've heard of Stanley Milgram, but remember reading a little about the Stanford Prison Experiment and being fascinated by it, so I think I'll poke around for more on both of these. Thanks!

And now I'll stop taking up comment space. Until I finish reading, that is!

“I’m sorry,” Arthur murmurs into Francis’ ear. “About this morning, I…God, I’m so sorry.” Fingers claw in Francis’ shirt, and he feels hot tears on his neck. It only makes Francis cry harder, because he can’t tell him how stupid that is, how his Angletarre shouldn’t be blaming himself for things that happened so long ago, things he thought he’s put behind him but really hasn’t, after all.

He sobs and cries; he curses Ludwig in his language and in English; he beats his fists against Arthur’s body and just screams. And Arthur absorbs it all, never once letting go of Francis’ body or telling him to stop. He just sits there on the tile with him, cross-legged, and tells him to let it out, don’t hold it in, there’s a good poppet ( ... )

I love that you brought the whole tangled Feliciano-and-Ludwig thing into this, especially with Feliciano being worried about his big brother figure, so to speak. The relations between these countries are damn complicated and sometimes Hetalia just makes them even worse. XD;

And oh Arthur. Looking forward to more.

Francis squawks as Feliciano launches himself at him, and in two seconds his arms are filled with crying North Italian.

“Francis I’m so sorry about what big brother said today at the meeting he has a tendency to be really really brash and it’s not good but he didn’t want to argue with Russia. But that doesn’t excuse what he said and I was so mad I almost pistol-whipped him but then I remembered that we weren’t supposed to have weapons in the room in the first place and then they might find out that about the famiglia and then Lovi would get mad and I wouldn’t get any pasta for a year and it’s really yummy and good to eat -”

Francis glances over at Arthur with a crooked eyebrow; Arthur only mouths “Good Lord” and cradles his face in his palm.

Francis chuckles, lifts a hand and ruffles Feliciano’s hair, cutting the other off while he explains the difference between rigatoni and lasagna.

“It is all right,” Francis says, giving the other a gentle smile. “You’ve made me very happy. Merci, Feliciano ( ... )
