Prussia, being a dad

After the unification of Germany, Prussia was left without much to do. Germany took care of all the official work, so all Prussia could do what get drunk or bother people. One day he decides to go backpacking across the country, and somehow through his adventures he ends up with custody of a small child (2 at the youngest, 5-ish at the oldest, and I would prefer that the kid was a boy too).
Anon would like something sweet and fluffy, where Prussia is actually a pretty awesome dad to this kid, even though nobody expects him to be good at it.
Bonus: All of the other nations think he will break the poor kid or something, so they try to intervene, but it turns out that Prussia is actually a better parent than them.
Bonus 2: The kid grows up and develops a crush on one of the nations, which gets blown out of proportion by daddy!Prussia trying to protect his little angel.

“Hey, kid,” Prussia said, stooping down and holding out his hand. The kid froze, looking terrified, and Prussia used his most soothing voice and smile. “It's okay. Come here

Omigod, thank you! That was amazing- I can't believe you updated so quickly after my long-winded comment. <3<3<3<3<3
Prussia and that kid were meant to be, they're totally saving each other here~
Anyway, I should have mentioned before that stress, a change in routine, generally anything that's new or overwhelming(to a toddler, that can be ANYTHING)can make them regress. For example, a toddler can do something (use the potty, string beads, talk) at home and then not be able to at say, daycare and vise-versa. It really depends on their comfort level and this story represents that wonderfully!
I can't wait to see Hungary and how she reacts to this...

I love to read your comments~! Comments like yours are the reason I write!
As the oldest in a family of four (where I'm eight years older than my youngest sister and ten years older than my little brother), I can definitely remember that about little ones. I'm a little biased in my own siblings; they were precious and lovely at two and became little demons at age four. My littlest sister, in particular, would always smile and wave at absolutely everyone at age two, but she bit my sister and shoved her off a ladder at age four.
But I think Prussia is going to be a better parent than my folks were. *can say this because she's anonymous right now*

I'm so glad you like my comments! I'm always afraid of stepping out of line so I love that you take everything into consideration.
And I am the middle of three sisters, the oldest is eight years older then I am and the other a year younger. Good times, no? I don't think many girls in a family is a good combination, no matter what age they are...
And this update has broken my heart, the underlying sadness is amazingly, well, sad. America, you sweetheart!
I wonder if anybody will actually object to Prussia raising Frederich? There seems to be a general understanding that he'd make a great papa and that this will probably be his last chance to really take a position of importance. And it really seems fitting that this should be the final destination of a nation; becoming human and living the life of a civilian. It's sad but kind of hopeful at the same time, am I making any sense?
Anyway, are we going to see the Bad Friends Trio? =D

“Are you feeding him right?” Hungary demanded, scooping up the boy and bouncing him on her hip. The boy pulled away from her, and she frowned slightly. “What about water? You are making sure to check his diapers regularly, aren't you?” Hungary hesitated, then looked at the boy again. “And what's his name

“Wow!” America said. “I thought for sure that I'd be the first one here today! You're all, like, an hour early!” America peered over Prussia's shoulder, beaming at the kid. “You brought the kid!” America said, absolutely ecstatic. “That is so cool! Hi there, little guy!” America ruffled the kid's hair, and the kid slid off the table to curl up on Prussia's lap. America laughed. “So he's a shy little fella,” America said brightly, setting an armful of files on the other side of Prussia. “That's okay! I'm sure he'll warm up to us eventually

You know what I think? I think Germany's protest against Prussia having a kid is that it reminds him that Prussia is now a mortal. He'll age and he'll die and it's breaking Germany's heart. At least that's what I'm guessing.
