He stopped himself before he could say anything he would regret and took a deep breath. He took a deep breath. “Why?”

“Why what?” Arthur said coldly.

“Why did you do it? I’m not just talking about Russia, and don’t pretend you don’t know what I mean.”

“Why does it matter?” Arthur countered, afraid to explain himself now that he was sure Alfred hated him. He wouldn’t deny the fact that the boy deserved answers, but Arthur also knew that he wasn’t able to give them. Not without falling apart himself.

‘Even if I did tell you, would it really matter? You’d just find me even more pathetic and walk away.’He didn’t deserve someone as innocent and caring as Alfred. He didn’t need Alfred to remind him of that fact ( ... )

And then we could do each others' nails and hair and make prank calls. Oh god what I would do to be able to play with Nantucket~

On that note, America getting a complete makeover from one of the more fashionable countries - Italy? Romano, specifically, LOL - sounds like it could be really good therapy for him.

Guys, if this imaginary sleepover/makeover doesn't have Poland doing America's nails, brushing his hair, and forcing him into cheesy, embarrassing girl talk, I will be so sad and disappointed. (Also, I kind of maybe want to Romano and Poland getting along in some weird way and ganging up on America. In a nice way, I mean.)

oh don't worry <3 how would a sleepover/makeover WORK without Poland? and we can invite Romano too! =D

Srsly, authornon, what have you done to me? ;A; It's been a long time since I've waited so eagerly for a fill to be updated, I'm addicted.

I guess I'm upset with England again? Fffff I need to stop being upset and then not and again upset. I understand that he's frustrated and pretty much hates himself for listening to France and taking it so far, but Alfred was trying, he shouldn't have been so harsh. (I don't mean it badly, authornon, I love your characterization and I think that was IC, I'm just frustrated with England.)

I felt bad for America in this whole part, but I'm glad he's going to interact with other nations now! He needs it.
Also, as much as I'd love to see snippets of America/Israel, I don't think America would... well, do the same as England. I mean, I see them going out and maybe as good friends like America and Taiwan, but nothing else.

I could keep going, cause I love this fill, but I'm already late for class otl... In summary, loving this, authornon~

Awww, I'd say sorry but I'm not XD I'm very glad you like my fill that much! <3

And aw D: don't be mad at England :( He just doesn't know how to handle this any better than America does. He obviously didn't know how to handle it from the beginning so now he's REALLY screwed. He doesn't strike me as someone keen on apologizing and he needs something to foist the blame on until he can step back, calm down, and accept what he did and figure out how to fix it :(

Part 12 is underway <33

OMG, I am SO SORRY about the super long wait. College has been a super busy experience and that coupled with writers block was a pain. But a friend of mine, who I will call "A" since this is anonymous, reads this fic, and I saw on facebook that she got sick today, so I decided that I wanted to finally finish chapter 12 and post it for her. She -should- know who she is, since she knows I write this XD GET WELL SOON <3 ( ... )

He plugged the ear buds of his iPod into his ears and turned on some heavily American pop music, (despite that fact that he didn’t really like it any more than Arthur did) and hailed a cab. Directing the driver to Heathrow, Alfred spent the rest of the ride, with the music turned up and staring at the album art to keep himself from looking out at the streets as they drove through the heart of London ( ... )

“Stop it!” Arthur yelled, cutting his ‘friend’ off. “Just stop it! There is nothing more that you can say,” he said, breathing heavily, noting with a sardonic laugh that this was so similar to a conversation that he had had earlier in the day. “It’s over. Just leave me alone.”

“Angleterre, I’m sorry.”

“Sorry doesn’t…” he began, but his voice trailed off before he could get his thoughts off the ground. This was all on him. He was never going to admit it aloud to Francis, but it wasn’t the Frenchman’s fault, really. “Just leave. Please. I don’t want to be forced to look at your stupid French face any longer,” he said, spitting as much venom into his tone of voice as possible, though he knew the words lacked their usual cutting edge. He was too exhausted. He felt…old, all of a sudden. Of course, he was old, thousands of years old, to be precise, but he rarely felt as old as he did at this moment ( ... )

It worried them both that Arthur had stopped caring enough to even yell at Francis, to get out of his home.

“He just looks at me when he comes home, and then he walks into the kitchen without a word,” Matthew remembered Francis saying. “He makes his tea and then disappears until it’s time for work the next day.”Matthew resolved to change things for Matthew before he could become a bitter, cynical old man like Arthur. So when Alfred came home, it was to find Matthew, Kiku, Feliciano, and Romano standing in his living room in hockey jerseys, with Matthew smiling and holding out a jersey to him. Alfred stood, astonished, in his doorway while the others looked at him, smiling (more like a less angry scowl on Romano’s part ( ... )
