Yes Sparta did practice it. Though not the same type practiced in Athens. Since in essence Pederasty didn't necessarily denote a sexual relationship between the boy and man. By definition the word simply means a relationship between a boy with an older man outside of his family. But the lame joke won't work with Athens derpderp

Oh, Gramps. We see so little of him on the fandom... And you nailed him, I hate it when he's depicted as a bumbling idiot. This is the tone he'll probably have, polite but still firm. Then again, I was a HUGE Roman Empire fangirl even before Hetalia, sooo...
Wow! There are two things that impressed me about this fill. First, the excellent mix of intelligent and a bit goofy you managed for Rome. The second is the utterly different style this has compared to the modern characters' letters I've read so far. Great stuff!
I like that you mentioned his soldiering, because that is truly what defined the Romans. And yes, he still appreciates the good things in life ^^

I am so glad you enjoyed this fill, OP. I was not quite sure about posting this because my headcanon demands that Rome write, and speak, in a different style from the other characters. It's a relief to know you enjoyed the fill.
I have a weakness for the two of them, and I'd love to write more about them. I have way too much headcanon about them. :D

Alas, I have not had the opportunity, or the pleasure, to meet the United States of America in person as of yet. I would very much like to do so.
