I want a haunting AU with America and England, preferably with America as the ghost. Human names are the only thing that would make sense to me in this setting and I want it to be creepy!

Please anons? Please, please?? I want angst, I want creepiness, I want tragedy! ...Though a happy closure ending would be appreciated too. >>

When green eyes snapped open again, they were faced with a young man crumpled to the ground, a bright red stain blossoming on his white shirt. Even though he shouldn't be, England was still surprised to see that it was America lying there ( ... )

holy shit, anon! that was an epic chapter! though that only made me more confused about ghost!america's presence. it didn't look like live!america was aware of the ghost's existence. maybe an unconscious invocation of magic? but i can't say dabbling-on-dark-arts!america doesn't interest me. :3

btw, i love how paranoid england had become. and his lies... heartbreaking. and oh oh, the transition from ghostmerica with live!merica when england shot him - spectacular. ...why was livemerica on the scene anyway? (and why was ghostmerica not haunting canada? ^__^)

sorry for rambling, authornon. it's just that you made me very excited. damn can't wait for the next part. toodles~ <3

Author!Anon here!

ghost!America isn't haunting Canada cause he likes to torture Iggy the most! That plus while Iggy's off wandering around on his lonesome playing with the supernatural, someone has to burn down Washington, so Canada did it.

As for the rest...all will be revealed in time ^_^

I shiver every time I read one of your installments. It's thrilling and I have you say that you consistently build on my expectations! Incorporating the real weird events of history (the hurricane) is a wonderful explanation and will quickly become a part of my headcanon, just watch.

There is also something incredibly lovely about England's interaction with real America, the line; make up your mind what I am to you, is simply gorgeous and ghost!America's anger with England upon his continued resistance to submit to his own feelings is building some seriously tantalizing tension.

Also, I didn't get back to you before and I just noticed you replied to me! Author!Anon, evil!baby!America ghost is an awesome kink! He's totally worth harboring I think and will gladly join you in naming it #1! ♥

...recaptcha is pagan Madison, which is just kinda crazy under the circumstances!

Whenever England thinks back on this memory, he is never sure of the year. But it must have been sometime after 1820, but before 1860. By this time, the War of 1812, the last war America and England fought against each other, was over. He and America were content with keeping out of each others' way and pretending that the other did not exist. Occasionally, England would hear news of America's “Manifest Destiny.” As for America's ghost, the spirit had not made an appearance since the burning of Washington. To his immense relief, England was spending most of his time in London enjoying the tentative peace and quiet ( ... )

“D-don't be ridiculous,” England scolded gently, trying not to offend the spirit and bring out its rage. So he continued to pet the icy blond hair. The action seemed to please the child, for he leaned into the touch with a soft smile.

It broke England's heart. If he ignored the chill and the slight transparency, England could almost believe that it was the 1600s again, and America was his sweet little colony. As England rubbed the ghost's hair, he apparently pressed against a particularly good spot, causing America to mewl like a kitten...just like he had done as a child.

It was too much. England found himself clutching at the boy with a sob. He had missed this. He had missed this so much. He had missed America and America's love.

As he buried his nose into the tousled blond hair (It was warm, like sunshine. Why did he ever think it was cold?) England never saw the smirk that worked its way onto America's lips, nor did he hear the soft word that the ghost chanted over and over.

“Mine. Mine. Mine.”Everything was perfect. And then ( ... )

“Don't. Touch. England!” America roared possessively, not caring that France couldn't hear a word ( ... )

France was very lucky he was a Nation.

After the abuse that America had put him through, France had been left with a broken arm and bruised organs. England also suspected a cracked spine and internal bleeding, but he didn't bother to fully investigate his rival's injures. As a Nation, France would be up and about in half a month regardless of what England did or didn't do. Frankly, England wouldn't be surprised if France was fine in a week, just to annoy the Briton.

As for his own abused neck, England wrapped some linen bandages to cover the bruises. They probably would have disappeared soon, but England took some comfort in the warmth the cloth provided. Even though the attack had been a day ago, the green-eyed man could still feel phantom fingers digging into his flesh, choking his air. Ah, the cold...

No, cold wasn't the term England would use. More like an absence of heat (of life) as if America had been gobbling up England's own warmth (his very existence) leaving the island Nation hollow and freezing ( ... )

“I...I can't control myself!” America gasped, his hands burrowing into his hair in distress, “God...I'm some sort of monster!”

“America...” England started. America hissed at him, a cruel, animalistic sound.

“Don't!” America snapped hotly, even as the temperature plummeted, “I heard your heart speed up! I can see it in your eyes too! I'm dangerous!”

“Bloody hell, America!” England cursed, pushing off from the wall, “We all are dangerous! We're Nations!”

“But not like this!” America shouted, waving at the shadows and England's bandaged neck, “Fuck, what have I done?! This isn't the first time I hurt you, is it?!”

England didn't answer. America swore.

“I don't-I don't want to hurt you!” America wailed, his voice coming out half strangled, “I never wanted that! Not really...”

England laughed bitterly, thinking back on America's Revolution, “Far too late for that, you git.”

“All I wanted was for you to be mine!” America cried. England yelped as an unnatural wind whipped about and the room was saturated with spiritual energy. ( ... )
