Rose petals not included. anonymous August 2 2009, 04:38:57 UTC
England/America.

England reciting Shakespearian poetry. During sex.
Arthur being the big romance fag that he is.

America being all embarrassed and girly about it would be lovely.

Oh those two, they're such complete and utter saps ♥

Loved this fill! Sorry I can't think up a longer comment I just need to re-read this again...

Oh, wow. Wow. I can't tell you how much I love this, I really can't! I'm actually pretty near tears, this story just grabbed my heartstrings and melted me into a puddle of the happiest goo in the world. I loved the quotes you chose, I love how they're just so infused with feelings, and I love every little interruption that makes them so intimate.

This is easily the most romantic, most satisfying read that I've had in a long time. Thank you, anon, for the privilege of reading it.

Okay I'm totally late to the party too... and I wish I could form some long coherent reply praising this in all it's glory, but my brain has seriously melted from sensory overload.

Just amazing!

I know this deserves a long and elaborate comment on every single aspect why this fic is as perfect and touching as it is, but for my humble part, let me just say:

It was beautiful.

And the roman numerals are the sweetest detail ever.

It was incredibly hot and sweet, romantic and adorable, but what made it go up to eleven and beyond was the implied fact that England has always thought in Shakespearian quotes when making love to America. That's, like....wow. I wish that existed in real life =;_;=

My God, this was like my ENTIRE head cannon in one fill along with amazingly written sexy timez~ I love Arthur on top like chocolate syrup on an ice cream sundae, and Shakespearean quotes are like the cherry. Anon, thank you so much for writing this; it was simply one of the best fills I've ever read! <3

I only regret that I'm unable to write something more acceptable for a fill of this (amazing) magnitude. Thank you!!!

I am not all warm and fuzzy on the inside, my eyes do not shine with complete and utter joy, nor does my lips curve in a ridiculously soft, sappy smile, and I most definitively did not squeal silently when Sonnet 116 was used. Not at all.

Captcha says 'failwoo'. I think not.

I'm a little late here, but oh my word. This was just beautiful, really. Really, really beautiful. And so romantic! Who wouldn't want this in real life? *sigh*

A few corrections, though, but by no means criticisms : ) "Love is a smoke..." is from Romeo and Juliet, "I love thee, I love but thee" is from a poem by Baynard Taylor, and the "When life gets hard" part is actually from the show One Tree Hill. I think it was said by a character expounding on Sonnet 116.

This story is so wonderful I've actually read it more than a handful of times. You really did a great job here, writer. <3
