Canada/America; Twincest Taboo

Y'know how, outside of fandom, twincest is typically rather frowned upon? I'd like to see something centered around that. Sooo...
America and Canada are in a relationship, and must deal with the hardship of discrimination (anything from not being able to go out in public without being ridiculed to nation-tans finding it disgusting).
Bonus points will be awarded for having America be the more self-conscious one about their relationship because, looking at it, America as a whole is less supportive of "weird" relationships, and as a character, America seems to care more about how other countries perceive him. And I love me some emotionally-strong!Canada
Extra bonus points for comforting, hints that not everyone dissaproves, and fluffy, loving sexy (I support Canada topping~)

The first time they had sex, buzzed on beer and champagne with the starry reflections of fireworks in their eyes and the smell of barbecue and grass in their hair, was on July third.
It was during a grand picnic to celebrate their combined independences from Great Britain that they stumbled into the woods and made out like the many other couples indiscreetly giggling behind the trees, giddy and lightheaded from the festivities. Fumbling to pull down zippers and shrug off shirts, the heated, almost frenzied contact with each others' skins and the cool night air ohgodsmoothperfectnghtighhardercloserMatthew still remembers what Alfred said after they both came. "Hooooome run!" And then he cracked up, and against his better judgment, he started laughing too

*_* Beautiful start, writernon. It may be short in terms of word count, but the quality of those words and what they cover is so much more expansive. It leaves just the right amount to the imagination while still providing a lovely, vivid image of scenery and the like~ And oh my gawd, Alfred's, "Hooooome run" XD So very, very Alfred Also, the selected date is most awesome.
And writernon, that information is veeeeery relevent to my interests~ Geographic-canon for the win

It is writers like you that drew me to the kink meme and keep me coming back for more. The skill with which you write is extraordinary. This is not just a fanfic, it is a well crafted work of art. I agree with the OP. The word count doesn't matter. As the very skilled writer that you clearly are, you said so much with so little.

OP here, with what I hope is the right answer.~ The 3rd of July is set in between Canada Day and Independence Day, and there are some American and Canadian cities (especially near the border~) that spend up to a week celebrating joint Canadian-American independence =3 I assume that's the angle Writernon was going for
