Sometime in his childhood, Arthur was (humiliated/snubbed/very hurt/whatever negative, not-happy adjective you want) by Alfred, and never once has that entirely left his mind since because he's vengefulCue years later, when he's a senior in high school, and hasn't seen Alfred since. Until, lo and behold, he finds out Alfred has entered his school as a) a freshman, or b) a transfer student. Arthur sees this as his perfect chance to get back at him
