Lithuania had lived with Poland through wars and famines and Eurovision and, most recently, a flux of hormonal mood swings that could have put the southern half of Italy to shame. A lesser patient soul might have said something upon walking in on what probably made up several hours of combined washing, ironing and folding discarded in a pile on the bedroom floor; Lithuania, conditioned as he was to taking things in a stride and swallow his pain until afterwards, instantly focused on the critical problem
