Why This Must Be Read: It seems only right that I end my specialreccers month the way I started it -- with fic from one of my favourite 'ships that will (likely) never happen on-screen but, damnit, should.
cereal writes some of the best characterisations in Penny/Sheldon fic and here she pairs that with one of my favourite fandom tropes -- two characters pretending to be in a relationship -- and spins out an evolution of their friendship into something much, much more with science, humour and a lovely sensual touch.

Why This Must Be Read: There's a few stories out there detailing what sort of hijinks the boys and Penny get up to during Comic Con, and this is one of my favourites. Here, ishie takes the prompt kink_meme prompt, Sheldon ingests some Viagra and is put in an awkward position when Penny won't leave him alone, and spins out a fun and sexy story that stays true to Sheldon's characterisation. Very nicely done!

Following on from the episode The Large Hadron Collision, slybrunette shows us the five days Penny and Sheldon were sick together in his apartment, while Leonard and Raj were in Switzerland, and gives Penny a perception change that I would dearly love to see on-screen.
