third legs, shaggy dogs, and Angel

Last night I dreamed I had a third leg. I think I was on my way to the prom, weirdly enough. The leg was covered in pink kernels of corn and green peas, so I didn't know it was a leg at first. Then I scratched away at the covering and revealed new, raw-ish skin beneath. Behold, a third leg. It seemed to be attached to my pelvic area at ( Read more... )

As for people who are criticizing the way certain new actors look in their parts?

Can't help it. Love the actor, but that little moustache makes him look just like my ex-husband. *g*

Hah, I just noticed your entry right after I hit post. Honestly, I'm not even talking about Remus (hence the ref to "dog whistle"). I saw a post last night from a Harry Potter writer about the Sirius pic which was just...gah, irrational and irritating and really, I could have done without that dose of negativity in my fannish cup. So I thought the best way to deal would be to rant about it. ;-)

I haven't examined the pics of Remus too closely, myself. But I guess what's really at the root of this is that I don't understand making instant judgments without actually seeing the actors in action. Then again, I've made instant positive judgments based on the pics, so maybe I have nothing to stand on here after all. (g)

I would never complain about a casting decision solely on the basis of still photos. Complaining about a costume or makeup decision on the basis of still photos is another matter altogether, IMHO.

So, I'm withholding judgement on Thewliss, but his mustache, I have judged. And condemned.

Psst...

Sorry I didn't manage to catch you before you left on AIM the other night, but my mom commandeered me for bed-making. *g* If you could make it to the forum, that would rock -- I'm anticipating looking (and feeling) like a dork wandering about by myself. :) Also, if things work out right, I might possibly be able to come home with you for a day or two... (Depends on how this interview goes this afternoon. I'll tell you about it later, after I have it -- it's nothing to get real excited about, but it may also be a Good Thing.)
