Heh, I think that when you're actually talking about genocide the conversation is probably exempt. Although it's still totally bizarre and sad that the conversation is also about fanfiction. The two should not go together like that.
Also, if you're learning about the Cambodian genocide from SPN RPS, I find THAT really fucking ridiculous.

Thank you so much for that. Seriously. I feel like I've just been a big oversensitive ball of fury for a couple of days now, and I appreciate so much that other people are stepping up and really talking about it.
Thank you. And thank you so much for all of your posts and comments elsewhere. I haven't felt up to really discussing any of this substantively, but it does gratify me to see that other people are up to it and are discussing it.
I should rephrase: I think you'd do the same/similar if it was something about non-Cambodians. I hope another situation like the one evinced by that story never arises so that I'm knackered, and you're wading in to speak some home truths.
