We're finally all caught up on tags (again!), so now seemed to be the best time to put this up. We actively encourage you all to let us know if there are other questions or clarifications that need answering or...clarification. Or if you have suggestions, we'd be happy to hear them ( Read more... )

*waves* hola! quickie question:

I went back through the archives to modify some of my tags, and they're not saving (October 31, 2007, "Finding Eden," I changed the rating to NC-17, and I wanted to change the pairing from eden/sylar to eden/gabriel). Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks! :)

Unfortunately, although members can add tags, only maintainers can change them. That brings up a very good point though, I'll definitely be adding that to the faq. I'll change that entry for you now, and if there are any others you'd like changed, don't hesitate to holler. ;)

Thanks! I'm such a dumbass, I'll definitely do the tags from now on :)

Oooh, just one more: August 20, 2007 "Less Than Nothing", can you change the pairing from Eden/Mohinder to Eden/Sylar? *hides*

Again, I'll totally do my own tags from now on--hee, I didn't even know they existed. *facepalm* Thank you so much! :) :)

Not a problem at all, seriously. I'm glad people get some use out of them, and I'm on my way to change that one now. :)

So - forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I've only posted once, and I take it I can't add an "author" tag for myself? Is that correct? Do I need to ask you to do it, if I want to be able to tag any future fics with my name?

Right, only mods can create tags, but once they're in the list, members can use them. I've created one for you, so you should be able to use it in the future when you post. :) Not a stupid question at all, I'll be adding it to the FAQ, thank you!

what about gen fic?
can we have a 'gen' tag or a 'pairing: none' tag?

That was actually suggested in the last poll, and I'm leaning toward agreeing with it. It would be nice to be able to find fic that isn't pairing-centric, definitely. I'm a little behind on community management at the moment, but that's going to be one of the main things I consider implementing soon. Thanks for the input! :)

Um, so yeah, when I get bored I like to read lists. (I know, what a wierdo.)
But I felt compelled to point out the follow mistake on your tag lists:

pairing: candice/clair - 1 use
pairing: candice/claire - 2 uses

I'm assuming those are both suppoused to be pairing: candice/claire, but... yeah. Just thought I'd try to help. ^^;;;

Also, if I don't have an author tag (which, when I get one I'd prefer if it said author: sephirothflame as it's my main account, but whatever) can I just go ahead and post fics and then just wait for it to be changed? ^^;;;

-hides from mods for needing to ask so many silly questions-

You are a star! ♥ Believe me, comments like this are loved. I'm running this comm on my own at the moment, and it's easy to overlook little stuff like that.

I will get your author tag created asap, I really appreciate authors letting me know which account they'd prefer to be credited with. Since there are so many individual authors, it's hard to keep track, especially when people sometimes post with both. But yep, it's totally cool to post without an author tag if you don't have one yet.

*loves on*
