A river of light, that runs under the earth. [brief, today] It's the source of all life, you could say.

That sounds like the Lifestream, definitely. Why don't you think it's the same thing?

...Gravity. Rotation. The fact that it's pretty solid. Physics. And yeah, all that, according to scientific theory, leads to life and keeping life when all the right elements are mixed together in just the right percentage.

If you're looking for a more mystical explanation, if you find the right people, they'll tell you it's the will of God...or at least one of them, depending on which religion they follow.

I'm not talking about gravity and I'm not talking about anything mystical. If souls and where they go is myth for you, then you don't know what I'm talking about.

Actually, I believe in souls, and what happens to them on my world, so you're getting snappy at the wrong person, here. I was just keeping the conversation neutral in case one or the other type of belief didn't fly with you.
