A question. [Cloud says it like it's punctuated with "for you strange people."]

If you don't have a Lifestream keeping your Planet alive, what's holding it together?

[It's been a long month. Sisuca went missing, Xion's friend was attacked, and really, does their secrecy even matter? It's not like anyone can do anything with that information. All this frustration nearly causes Jale to respond, "A magic book," before his common sense finally takes over.]

"Lifestream"?

Where people go when they die. [Okay so there's a lot more to it than that, but that's the cliffnotes version and that's what you're getting, bro.]

... The afterlife keeps your world alive. [Wat.]

Uh. There's more to it than that.

It's- [Shit. RED XIII BRO HE NEEDS YOU. OR VINCENT. OR BUGENHAGEN. ONE OF YOU GET IN HERE- Oh fine he'll do it himself.]

Okay, it's like this. When people die- People on my Planet. I dunno how it works on yours- When they die, they go to the Lifestream and their spirits turn into energy for something else. Because the Lifestream flows through the Planet, and it gives energy for other people to be born, and trees and animals and whatever else. So without that, the Planet would dry up and crack apart and just be a hunk of rock.

There's no Lifestream here though, so I'm wondering if it's like that with everyone else, since everybody I've asked said they don't know what the hell it is.

Considering your question implies that this "Lifestream" is not present in other worlds, I doubt most people here will understand what it means. [Including her.]

You don't know what holds your Planet together?

Of course I do. Gravity does; it's what keeps us all on the ground.

I know what gravity is, I'm not talking about gravity. I'm talking about- [How do you put this.] Life energy, I guess. Souls and the like.

[That's kind of Lifestream-y.]

Where does it come from?

Love. And good will. Also happy thoughts. And according to some scientists, sunshine and cheer.

... that shouldn't even be a question! My planet is a big rock covered with living creatures, being hurled around a huge ball of burning gas at thousands of miles per hour. I don't think it counts as being alive.

Look, talk to some of the people around here and you wouldn't think my question's all that stupid.

And where exactly do all your living creatures get their souls from if your planet's not alive?

Is there any reason you're asking about this subject?

Not really. [Kinda. Oh man is it that obvious?]

You know, Aerith said she still can't talk to the Planet here. At all.

[It's obvious to Vincent, but... he has a weird habit of honing in on things.]

It could be an affect of the barrier... but I couldn't say for certain. Perhaps the spirits would know more.

She was talking to one of them the other day, but she hasn't said anything about it telling her whether or not there's a Lifestream.
