Hermione had a long week of meetings, hearings, and  trying to catch up with her friends, whom she missed dearly. Next on the list was Ginny. Ginny was running late. Naturally that would be the case today. Everything today seemed to be running behind. Practice had been a thing to witness and she had ended up calling it for the night before they were supposed to be done. Oh well. Some days that just had to be the case.

Ginny spotted the restaurant and rushed inside in a whirl of cold wind and red cheeks. Hermione was already seated at a table with appetizers and drinks waiting. Ginny rushed up, dropping her bag and coat on the chair back before dropping into the chair. "Hey," she said with a smile and she sorted her self out. "Sorry I'm late. It's been a day."

Hermione put down her martini as Ginny approached the table. "No need to be sorry, I was early," she explained.

She took a moment to take in the sight of her, "Rough day?"

Hermione was very familiar with that look and could see the mild frustration written all over her face.

Ginny nodded. "Terribly so. Sometimes I wonder if this whole quidditch captain thing is worth it."

There was a tea pot on the table and Ginny grabbed it up to pour herself a cup. The warmth was wonderful and she took a deep breath as the steam rolled upward from the cup.

Hermione felt for her friend. She couldn't imagine being in charged of so many testosterone-dominant men, but in this world, a woman's authority was always questioned. Even if that wasn't the issue in this case, all that physical work every day must be draining in and of itself.

She smiled softly, "Ginny, you're a wonderful player and a great leader. Don't beat yourself up."

Taking another sip from her glass, she leaned toward Ginny over the table in her inquisitive manner, "It's been so long, tell me what's new!" Being gone and out of touch for just over two months could mean any number of changes, Hermione found.
