Hermione had a long week of meetings, hearings, and trying to catch up with her friends, whom she missed dearly. Next on the list was Ginny. They had decided to meet in one of their favorite places after work. She wrapped things up early at the office, sending out disciplinary hearing notices to the one or two Hogwarts students who felt the need to continue to use magic at home over the winter holiday. This was not the work Hermione had envisioned herself doing once she put her sights on the Wizengamot, but she had to start somewhere. She wanted to find justice for all.
She turned the corner on a busy London street and headed for their predetermined location, a wonderful little Thai place. There were so many things on her mind when it came to Ginny. Her last talk with Harry had been extremely revealing, and she wasn't sure how much restraint to use. It depended on how Ginny was doing with everything, but the girl was usually very resilient, surely her life was full of many things other than Harry Potter.
Hermione took a seat at their usual table and ordered some appetizers and drinks for them to start while she waited for her friend.
