This story gave me the best kind of chills the entire time I was reading it. lady_karelia - Your story was beautiful. I love how Hermione tried to analyze the situation first via Arithmancy and Runes - it keeps with her character not to simply accept things as they are.

la_dissonance and zephre - The art was lovely. I like the scene you picked with Narcissa and Hermione chopping up mushrooms and the one of her in the field really bought the piece to life.

Karelia -- I am so impressed by all the musical knowledge you worked in to the story, as well as the mushroom details. It's not often we see a SSHG story in which Lucius and Cissa are portrayed as a loving couple without ulterior motives; I can see these two couples remaining fast friends. Kingsley's appearance and your healing the Longbottoms were icing on the cake for me!

la_dissonance and zephre -- such gorgeous art! la_dissonance, I loved the colors and the sense of Hermione beconing part of -- in harmony -- with the universe; you had great details from the blades of grass to the varieties of mushrooms, and wonderful shading. Zephre, I notice that your Cissa was still very elegant in her movements, even when she was slicing mushrooms instead of being Queen of the Manor. Thanks, y'all!

Thank you! Music and mushrooms are my passion, so it was relatively easy to write about them. ;) I think Lucius and Narcissa loving each other is pretty much canon if we look at DH; those scenes at Malfoy Manor with Voldemort? I can't see her stay there if it hadn't been because she genuinely loves her husband. I'm glad you liked Kingsley. I'm rather fond of him. :D

I agree that it's canon to have Lucius and Cissa as a loving couple, but many fanfics either divorce them, or kill off Cissa, or have Cissa do something evil. Okay, I admit Lucius is drool-worthy... (big sigh)

*cringes* I'm guilty of killing her off in past fics... I only started taking an interest in Narcissa when I considered cosplay. And I was quite amazed how much I found hidden in canon.
