Create your own TV show meme: Tangled.

So last night, I wrote a fic that blew my own mind (in a "This is good, but did I seriously write this?  No, someone else must've written it." kind of way).  Right after I saw a high school production of Into the Woods (the kids were incredibly talented, but that story is strange).

And now, here's a meme, courtesy of lotus0kid:

This sounds awesome! Rather V-like, but still cool. Love the idea of an alien mafia- I really wish I could've found a badass role for CE like you did. Ben sounds like he'd be adorable. That's a very neat idea you had with the five genders thing as an excuse for canon slash opportunity to explore sexuality and gender issues and all that good stuff.

Thank you! :) I'm glad you liked it. I was trying to integrate sci-fi into a crime drama premise, and I thought, "The mob is full of aliens!" And who better to play an alien and a bad guy than CE? I think this show would differ from V in that the aliens aren't out in the open and aren't planning to reveal themselves as a group.

Yes, I think Ben would be really cute and troubled. Ray Park needs to play less fanboy-lures and more badass woobies. I thought making multiple genders for the aliens would add an interesting complication and I knew there'd have to be character that would showcase that, so Ben happened, much to my surprised and delight. I actually hadn't been thinking in terms of canon slash, but more along the lines of the "issues" that lots of sci-fi shows these days cover.

Fortunately for the female viewers, Alex isn't all that fond of shirts (unless they are fairly tight).

And your ratings just went up, like, three-fold. ;)

I like this, it's like a weird mesh of Angel only with aliens and it's just ripe with crossover potential with Torchwood and Eli Roth and ZQ should definitely play brothers someday. They're just too similar not to.

Also, I love anything that's not set in, you know, NYC or LA.

FANTASTIC!

I actually hadn't thought about it that way at all, but now that you mention it...Though Captain Jack is going to be mighty pissed that the Big Bad looks just like the man of his dreams, and his consigliere looks like Jack's psychotic ex. Oh, well, more Ho Yay!

YES. I'M NOT INSANE. *dances* I first saw it when someone posted a secret about it on fandomsecrets several months ago and nearly mistook them for the same person. It's creepy but in an awesome way.

Me, too. Also, anything outside of California, which doesn't happen often (outside of sitcoms, which are mostly soundstages anyway).

FANTASTIC!

To be fair, I'm not a huge fan, but still. A lot of people are.

Though Captain Jack is going to be mighty pissed that the Big Bad looks just like the man of his dreams, and his consigliere looks like Jack's psychotic ex.

This actually makes a kind of sense. If I were writing the fic, I'd say that they both synthetically created their human forms to screw with Jack. And then get screwed by them. Because, you know. He's hot.

The ER/ZQ thing is kind of eerie. I noticed it when I first watched Inglorious Basterds.

Oh, yeah, I think I have just a fleeting lust, but I couldn't stop picturing a hilarious scene with a defabricator. And that smirk.

Man, you've got so many great ideas for this! Hell, Torchwood could have its own episode like that. That'd be really awkward for this little band of heroes if he'd been working with them. Maybe he'd screw poor gender-confused Ben, too...

Evidently, ER does get mistaken for ZQ by fans. That must be awkward for all parties involved.
