I'm honestly in support of anything not set in New York or generic small town USA and/or filmed in Los Angeles. The only other show I can think of set in the midwest right now is The Good Wife and that's filmed in NYC.

So am I. I think that Detroit 1-8-7 show was filmed in Detroit and that Chicago Code show was filmed in Chicago. Why do the gone-too-soon shows always film on location? Still, even NYC!Chicago is better than palm trees everywhere!Chicago would be.

St. Louis is hardly ever used in media at all, which is weird because we're not necessarily less distinct than Detroit or Cleveland, where a lot of sitcoms are set. And this is just making me imagine an STL dystopia, which is really fascinating, because you usually only ever hear/see/think about dystopic NYC, London, Tokyo, etc.

Cool, I mainly know about Defiance because it has Julie Benz and she likes to talk about it a lot on Twitter.

I don't follow Twitter (well, I follow my mother's Twitter, so mainly anti-vaccine, pro-biomedical stuff and the St. Louis Cardinals), so I found out through other places. I watched the first episode tonight and Julie Benz is awesome as the new mayor. Her character calls the Arch "that big-ass Arch" and I might have squeed.
