I was at a convention two weeks ago and a buddy of mine had a Firefly costume group together (We had Mal, Jayne, Inara, and... I think that was it) I got to be their Simon, simply because another costume of mine looked exactly like him when I wasn't wearing the makeup XD
Ooh, that's cool...Simon (haha). I didn't know you liked Firefly, but it is in that Cowboy Bebop-ish space western genre (I have no idea how to word that).
I've been good. I started my sophmore year at UMSL today. I'm commuting this year, so the Metrolink is my new best friend. Oddly enough, Grace Hogan is in my American Literature II class (this little world gets smaller everyday).
Where are you going to college? Are you still living at home?
Because I was intrigued when you said on ffrants you hadn't seen much M/J slash, I checked your profile to see if you'd seen shiny_hats. I don't know if you have but just haven't friended but that a good site. Oh and the_cortex and firefly_signal follow all fanfic and fandom related stuff for Firefly. In case you are interested.
Thanks for the recs. Actually, shiny_hats is where I found those incredibly OOC Mal/Jayne fics, but I think that might have something to do with it being their summer ficathon (everyone turns out for that, then the regulars with the goodfic will be left there when it's over).
Ah right, lol, sorry. I very rarely read M/J, I tend to slash Simon a lot more than anyone else, but I do know people who watch the comm. Might be worth putting out a 'can anyone rec' on the comm or searching through the old posts. It tends to happen a lot on the Firefly comms that people ask for recs, so you may well find some old rec posts or old fics recced. If not, have you tried the Firefly glow archive? Or firefly_slash, for all slashy things Firefly.
