Elisabeth Sladen, aka Sarah Jane Smith, has died.  She was 63.  Apparently, she'd been living with cancer for a few years; she must have been working through it.  My God.

You know what is slightly bizarre?  Nicholas Courtney, who played Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, died just a few months ago.  I think it's weird because they were both on Doctor ( Read more... )

Terrible news. She was scifi royalty. I wonder what if anything they'll do for The Sarah Jane Adventures. Can't really move on like John Ritter's show did after he passed away, not with her name smack dab in the title, but it would be a shame to just cancel it. Anyway, it would be nice to see maybe an "In memory of Elisabeth Sladen" message on the DW premiere this Saturday.

Oh God, I know. I have no clue what they'll do with SGA---maybe write an episode that mentions that Sarah Jane died and have the Doctor show up to comfort Luke, Rani, and Clyde? I'm not sure if that would work, though.

Anyway, it would be nice to see maybe an "In memory of Elisabeth Sladen" message on the DW premiere this Saturday.

Yes, that would be appropriate. And if it's too late to add it to the end of the premiere, maybe for the second or third episode.
