Death by Summer Camp

Hi there. I found your LJ after doing an interest search for Pohang. I'm going to be moving there to teach sometime in the next month and I'm a little nervous, but it sounds like you're having a pretty good time of it so far, yeah?

I just realized I hadn't been following your LJ lately (peculiar, I'm not sure how that happened. Fixed now, though.)

But anyhow, I'll be starting A Feast For Crows when I get back to Oman in about 1 month. I've heard mediocre reports on it, but my fears are actually the inverse of yours. Most of the characters I'm particularly interested in are in Feast, which leaves me thinking I'll probably be less interested in Dance With Dragons. Jon Snow started as one of my favorite POV chars, but I found out I wasn't as interested in the Wall stuff. Oh well, guess that's why he has such a huge fan base. Everyone likes different aspects.

Glad you're surviving over in Korea. Are you going back?

Yes, I signed up for one more year. I have been meaning to ask you about teaching out your way, which I have an eye to do after I finish up here. Are there any jobs ot be had without an MA?

There are some, although they're becoming harder. Some of the lower end colleges will still hire you, as will the institutes. It helps a lot if you're in the country, though.
