... that truepenny explicitly suggested (with remarkable patience) that I purchase them this trip, with the clear implication that perhaps then I would shut. the. hell. up. about them.

I also said, ooooooooooh, pretty! when you showed them to me. So, I mean, it's not like I didn't understand *g* It was just clear that you needed them.

...and I'm profoundly grateful that you admired them thus, since it did make their purchase seem less like a private psychosis and more like an objectively Necessary Thing. *g*

I'll refrain from mocking you with comparisons to Jorge Luis Borges' Library Of Babel.

Instead, I'll just express my admiration of an excellent book-buying haul, and your possession of what must be an exceptionally sturdy spine.
