Your demon mutant fennel just frightened me. There must have been a tiny moment when you were uploading new icons that demon mutant fennel was the default before you switched it back to asparagus, and, in that tiny moment I loaded a page that had comments from you that I'd already seen in the past and suddenly they had demon mutant fennel icons, which was scary enough, but, when I went to your LJ to see if you were indeed sporting a new default icon, it was asparagus, so I had to go to your user pictures page and figure out if you'd swapped demon mutant fennel in for a pre-existing vegetable keywords (like strawberries subbing in for red pepper as the vegetable 4 of your heart), but it had its own demon mutant fennel keywords, and, when I went back to look at the post that started it all, the demon mutant fennel had turned to asparagus, so I came up with my "briefly set as the default" explanation, because otherwise I have to acknowledge my true feeling, which is that the demon mutant fennel is *haunting* me.

Well, if my house counts as a restaurant. Which a case could be made for, actually.

The whole thing started several years ago with a group of friends watching X-Files (which is why it's on Sunday nights), first at someone else's house and then, when they moved away, at mine. When X-Files turned to utter crap we continued to gather, but started watching tapes of Buffy, two eps a week, starting at the beginning and going through in order. I make gourmet pizza, everyone shows up around 6:00, we eat, we start watching around 7:00, everyone's heading home by 9:00. It's a nice low-key way for me to see a bunch of my friends at once.

It *is* so much fun. One of my favorite things about being technically a grown-up is that I have my own living space in which I can do as I like -- including having friends over for dinner, which, as a form of social interaction, suits my control-freak tendencies perfectly.

All things considered, though, I'd rather teach a course on Buffy than run a restaurant. *g*
