Oh good, I'm very happy to hear that he's doing well. I was thinking about you guys all day, even told my mom about it all. I hope that if not by the time I'm writing this, then very, very soon, he will be home and on the mend.

This was both really sad and super cute. I've been walking around the house tonight saying, "Biped! Biped." at my husband.

The "biped!" thing actually comes from truepenny's formerly feral ninja cats, who always seemed deeply alarmed about our standing on two feet; they clearly lived in the conviction that we were highly unstable and might topple over at any time, probably squashing cats in the process. Toby and Theo are much mellower, but the "biped!" designator has stuck in our cat voiceovers. Heh.
