Aww, poor lamb. I am not sure what I hate more - flying with a cold or abandonned WIPs - it's likely gonna be a draw. I am very carefull not to read WIPs, even the one's that are not abandonned often have such big gaps in posting that it puts me right out of the whole experience. Hope the restorative properties of the lamb tagine are going to work soon and make you feel all better again!

I'm curious - if you had fun, why do you doubt you'll go again?

Yes, exactly; I just don't have time to re-read, or even just skim, big chunks of a 20-chapter story before reading a new chapter, and my brain is such a sieve these days that I can't hold a story in my head that long without re-reading.

As for Escapade... The main reason is that I can't usually take days off in February, so I knew going in that Escapade was likely to be a one-time thing unless it was just THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Which it wasn't, honestly. I mean, it was fun, it was nice to see some of the people who were there, but Escapade is a slash con and I'm just not that into slash, due South and Star Trek vids notwithstanding; I'm a canon girl at heart. So going to the con was not, for me, the experience of "OMG MY PEOPLE" that it clearly is for many of the attendees. Plus my favorite parts of the con were those that most reminded me of VividCon -- and for that, I can just go to VividCon. :D
