I just mainlined all of GG and your vid was like a special gift to me :) [Though I was curious as to why you stayed with the pre college seasons...not that the vid needed any other footage, but I wondered if it was a practical or a conceptual decision]

And yes, the decision to stick with S1-3 was a practical matter; that's how much of the show I was able to rewatch before I needed to start the vid, and I was pretty sure I'd have enough clips to make it work.

Even though I suspected that I think it really makes sense conceptually: their dynamic changes once Rory goes off to school, or rather, it doesn't change which is a testimony to how much they already were equals even with Rory in high school. So the more I watched it, the more I liked that it looked at that well defined and contained moment in their lives...

I have to tell you - I took Dawn her disc set tonight and sat down to watch this with her. Now, Dawn was into the vid - but - when Lorelei came bounding down the stairs in her cowboy boots and cutoffs, she SQUEALED and clapped her hands.

Um, much as I do everytime I see it. I think it is genetic. That, or we've all worn something like that on laundry day.
