I had a lot of trouble with Omar's death. It was so sudden and pointless and it took me a bit to come to terms with it, but I honestly feel now that it couldn't have gone any other way. This resonates with me so strongly:
Omar doesn't get to be an exception just because we wanted it. But I wanted it so badly.
I was SO PROUD of Namon, and Greggs, and Carver. The good moments on the show are so very wonderful.
Yes, the pointlessness, exactly. I mean, Stringer Bell's death ripped me up, no question, but he got to go out for a reason, you know? And Omar... god knows there are any number of reasons for Omar to get got, but not like this. Except, as Snoop says, "Deserve got nothin to do with it."
And YES about the good moments. The show really earns them -- the hard way, but still.
