Waking up to a farmer's market report makes me happy. Last night my sister tried to convince me to go to Union Square's for this morning, but I balked. I may look for a local one.

Yes, the tops of onions are very useful; most supermarket onions don't include the tops, of course, which I think is why so many people don't know what to do with them.

(She says grumpily, lugging five bags of produce and meat home from Union Square greenmarket. Including onions with their tops on.)
