I might just have disney on the brain, but that arrangement of plates looks totally like a mickey head.

LOL! That didn't occur to me at all when I was taking the photos, but after I put them on the computer and was looking at them . . . yeah, I saw the Mickey Mouse, too. :D

Did you hear the Japanese invented a new aphrodisiac soup? It's called Miso Horny.

There are several large Japanese supermarkets in San Mateo. One in particular is supposed to be the best in the Bay Area. I hear you have some friends in that town that you could visit after you shop.

Oh! You're right . . . I do have friends out that way. However, I think they probably love me enough to go check out the Japanese markets in San Mateo, and then bring me the seaweed when they come here to visit! That way they could even sit in the hot tub here.

*giggles*

(I'm kidding about sending you and/or A on a wild goose chase for seaweed. I think a San Mateo shopping excursion would be a very good idea. What's your schedule like for the next couple of weeks? If you drop me an e-mail we can work something out). :)

It took me a minute to realize your Day 5 picture was not some sort of Mickey icon. The three circles are aligned just perfectly.

The folks at Takahashi Market in San Mateo are super-super nice. If they don't have the appropriate seaweed, they will most certainly be able to point you in the right direction.

In Berkeley, there's also the Tokyo Fish Market. It's like a bigger and brighter version of Takahashi's. For me, it's closer, but if I had to choose, I'd go to Takahashi's anytime. :)

(And you really didn't need to make me hungry. Quite uncalled-for. ;) )
