The dork I am, when I wait for the kids at my internship Wednesdays, I color pictures. I have figured out that some books have good images it is easy to make into therapeutic images with personal meaning.

"Don't mind me," she adds, "but I'm just gonna whip my hair."

LULZ forever. XD

Man, I love coloring books! I had this kickass Shakespearian one when I was a kid, it had all these great scenes out of different plays (most of them were from Midsummer Night's Dream if I remember correctly). Sometimes I still color in them, it's really relaxing.

OH MAN, that is SUCH a good idea. I need this for my "kid parts" treatments. (I do IFS on myself, I've never found such a fantastic therapy.)

I love the Daphne one, and the Jedi one looks like a patch or shirt. <3

<3333333333 Yeah, I was pretty impressed with the combination of solid lines and vivid expressions in the books combined with vague text. Makes art therapy use of coloring books really quite simple and creative. I have, somewhere, a page with a bear looking over a little cliff, wearing a swim suit (I suppose he's going to jump into some water?) and it says "Don't look down." I wrote words that were stressing me out at the bottom and things that were helping me at the top of the page.
