I was reading that massive article earlier, and the part that stuck with me was the theory that women get physically "ready" even at the vague suggestion of sexual activity because being "unready" in the event of unwanted sex could cause injury. Ewww.

Anyway, I'm glad someone's doing research, and that they've figured out that just increasing women's blood-flow (a la Viagra) isn't going to work on the aphrodisiac front. ;P

Oh God ya, that creeped me out to. But when writing my post I decided not to go into their theory that women's disconnected sexual response is an evolutionary adaption to constant rape-fests. I prefer to think that the reasons are FAR more complex, but then again I read Clan of the Cave-Bear, so I'm certainly willing to accept that there might be some truth to it. The only thing that everyone is certain of is there needs to be a hell of a lot more research into female sexuality.

Yup, well after miranda went to bed anyway. The kids were great all I had to do was set-up Rockband, throw food at them and occasionally put my foot down on their free spiritedness. Of course, now I'm on like hour two of cleaning up the house, still the downstairs to go. I don't mind C and M sort a help, plus, it's kilo-cute how quickly Miranda is picking up the clean up song.

I finally got around to reading both of these. I tend to view women's easy arousal with the idea that since they (and men) wouldn't know when the women were ovulating, lots of sex was necessary to insure children.
