It's beginning to feel a lot like christmas

Right after christmas last year the lego store had a sale on those advent calendars and I ended up buying around a dozen of them. Since then they've sat down in the basement and now I'm finally going to try to offload them all. I always liked the idea of advent calendars but I never actually had any as a kid. The holidays tend to be one of the most depressing times of year because NO ONE has a holiday as good as the stories. There are always family fights or disapointments in presents, etc.

For many, many years I would by a couple of children's craft sets for Christmas and then wrap them. I opened them on Christmas day and played with them so that I had my own holiday tradition. Now a days I don't even do that, so Christmas can be a rather sad time. This year we are planning a day long video event the day after Christmas, so maybe things will be a bit better.

I love advent calendars. I should get some this year.

I can't afford to get good presents for people this year. Maybe I should just start buying little things now though instead of what I usually do every other year: procrastinate and find myself rushing at the last moment losing part of my sanity.

I also thought that I would make presents this year. I have a whole lot of sculpey clay I could make gifts out of. I just have to come up with an idea for each person.

My friend Adrien would love a drawing of her... I should get on that, and add her fiance to the piece.

Right now my biggest priority is to get myself some god damn toilet paper before this roll runs out.
